Jungnang-gu is being reborn as the most dignified city of happiness, a city in which
residents live in harmony with nature and the city, pursuing a high quality of life.
The statistics on Jungnang-gu show that which is to be preferentially considered
among all factors to provide decision-making criteria, from the determination of
major policies to the design of said policies aimed at continued growth and expansion.
As the saying goes “understanding statistics will open your eyes to the future”.
Statistics are the most basic and essential element that enables us to openly cultivate
the images of the desired future through a comparison of the past and the present.
Jungnang-gu incorporates statistical information into its administration by issuing
statistical yearbooks every year and continues to improve the quality of life of its
residents.
The recently issued 『21st Statistical Yearbook』focuses on correctly understanding
the present circumstances as they are and designing the future by putting in order
the content of the changes made in the areas of economics, society, culture and
education over the past year.
Hoping that the statistical yearbook may be widely used as data for formulating
policies for each area in our society as well as for academic research, I would like to
use this opportunity to thank all those who have extended their cooperation in the
issuance of this data.
In the meantime, I hope that you will make good use of the statistical data posted
here on our city's website (www.jungnang.seoul.kr).
